The King’s Rolling Pin
So you are the Lefse King? Or you know him? This is a lefse rolling pin fit for a king. Made by Dan Larson of the Minnesota Woodturners Association, this all-cherry work is an “oh-my” masterpiece. The 12-inch barrel is made of cherry burl and therefore has all sorts of shades and swerving lines and splotches and swirls. I swear one side looks like it has flames licking the barrel! And then there are the 4 3/4-inch cheery handles, hand-carved with a burned band that makes five turns from end to end. Between the solid burned band is a barber poling band of about a billion burned dashes that are the finishing touches to a fabulous piece of art. Show off The King’s Rolling Pin on a cheery stand shaped like a Viking ship. Oh, by the way, this is a functional piece of art with a stainless steel rod and food-safe stainless steel bearings. Many hours went into the making of this masterpiece, but The King’s Rolling Pin promises many decades of giving lefse making the royal treatment!
