Hats off to anyone who writes a lefse story entirely in verse! Becky Thaldorf Latka does just that, capturing with four-line rhymes the lefse scenes illustrated by Heidi Thaldorf Bacon. You cannot pass on a book that begins with:

When the air starts getting colder
Swirling snowflakes in the breeze
Then we ask to go to Grandma’s house
